The beach at Broadkill is Sanctuary for the Horse Shoe Crab!  Here at Broadkill Beach, residential landowners to designate their private beaches as horseshoe crab sanctuaries. In addition to Broadkill Beach Slaughter Beach and other areas along Delaware's Bay are Horseshoe Crab Sanctuaries as well.

Birders LOVE the wetlands areas along the west side of Broadkill Beach. 

This is known as the Broadkill Beach, Presidential Limousine!

Gotta LOVE It!   Now the OLD name for Broadkill is Broad Kiln or BroadKiln which means wide river or wide creek... Just a bit of trivia down here near the beach.  By the way this is a great place to drive your four wheel drive and do some fishing!  You get your four wheel drive fishing license at the park office of Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes.
