Kate Baird has been a full time Number ONE Realtor and multi-million dollar producer in Rehoboth Beach DE for 15 years.. Kate Baird Bench Lifting 255 pounds. She is a Champion Powerlifter!

Kate is quite the accomplished Powerlifter now! She set a new Delaware state record on Saturday, April 29 2006, at the Delaware Power Classic. The Powerlifting meet took place at the Training Center Gym, in New Castle, DE, and was sanctioned by the American Powerlifting Federation. Kate competed raw, which means without the aid of specific equipment such as squat suits or bench shirts. Below she finished the Squat at 425 pounds!

Her highest completed attempts at the event were 425 lb. in the squat, 255lb. in the bench press, and 400lb. in the deadlift. She totaled lifting 1080 pounds while weighing in at 164 pounds that day! Not bad Kate! DANG!!!!

“I’m thrilled.” Kate said to the press that day ”A 1027 with the equipment for my weight class is considered an “ELITE” level total. I did it without equipment. It is not the highest raw total a woman of my weight has ever done, but it comes very, very close. I’ve only been powerlifting for a year, so I am confident that within the next year, with a bit more training under my belt, I can obtain the highest recorded raw total for a woman in my weight class.” Click Here to see Video of Kate Bench Pressing 275 pounds in training!

Baird currently trains at the Firm Fitness Center in Rehoboth Beach, under the tutelage of world class powerlifter and DE state APF chairman Broderick Chavez.

Kate has been a devout Body Builder since she was a teen. Her award winning championship body building efforts started in earnest just a few months before she won the State of Delaware Overall Body Building Championship and also placed very well as an East Coast Body Builder!

Kate competed in her first power lifting meet May 15 2005. It was the APF 2005 VA State Championship held in Chesapeake City, VA. Kate won the first place trophy in the women’s 148 lb. division. Here to the right is a picture of Kate with the trophy. >
